This secret room was included in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past to honour the winner of a contest run by Nintendo Power just before the game’s release.

It is difficult to find—most often seen by a glitch when transitioning between rooms—however it can be triggered by racing between certain locations.

I apologize to Mr. Houlihan for revealing his secret room.
